Thermite is an Consumable in Fortnite: Battle Royale, that was added in the Chapter 6: Season 2.
Functionality[]
Once thrown, Thermite will create a small pool of fire that will slowly damage players and structures in its radius. After a few seconds, an explosion goes off, dealing damage to players and knocking them back.
The only way to crack an Alpha Bank vault is with Thermite. Once planted or thrown at, it will begin to melt away at the vault's lock. However if left unattended, Alpha Guards may defuse it if one makes it to the vault while not fighting anyone.

- Thermite can be used to speed up the rate at which a Alpha Bank vault explodes, dealing about 3 damage per tick and exploding dealing 250 to the vault. Really good when used with a Plasma Burst Laser or a Rocket Drill
