The Titan is a Vehicle in Fortnite: Battle Royale. It was introduced during Chapter 3: Season 2. The Titan is the main battle tank of the Imagined Order. However, some of them were captured and repainted by The Seven.
Functionality[]
The Titan seats 4 players, consisting of a driver, machine gunner, and 2 passengers. The driver has full control of the vehicle and is able to drive in any direction, destroying structures as they move. The driver can use the Primary Fire Button to fire the turret, firing an explosive that deals splash damage and starts falling towards the ground similarly to the projectile of a Sniper Rifle. The main cannon also has a thermal aiming option, triggered by holding the aim button.
The machine gunner is located on the top of the tank. The machine gun overheats if fired continuously for too much time. The passengers are able to fire their own weapons and heal independently.
The Titan has three weak spots: the tracks, the driver's hatch and the engine. If one of the tracks is destroyed, the driver will have much trouble driving; however, they can be restored manually without any specific item. When the driver's hatch is destroyed, the driver will be directly exposed to enemy fire, but it will repair automatically after a time which is indicated by a light bar under it. The visible part of the engine, located in the back of the tank, consists of two yellow boxes and damaging it enough will cause the vehicle to stop moving and be inaccessible for about 13 seconds.
The Titan needs to be refuelled requiring much more fuel than a car and consequently, more time to refuel. The Titan's armor can be restored with a Repair Torch. It has a boost function similarly to the Whiplash, which consumes more fuel and can be used to ram opponents.
When the Titan reaches 0 HP, it will blow up after a few seconds, being launched in the air. The explosion will deal 50 damage to nearby players. It won't start a fire however.

Strategy Guide[]
- The Titan is heavily armored, but it's important to restore its health using a Repair Torch when possible to find yourself prepared for high scale fights or an encounter with another Titan Tank.
- When engaging a fight with another Titan, always aim to the center of the vehicle to deal the most damage (570). Having a teammate operating the Turret can be really helpful. Always repair the tracks to move smoothly.
- One of the vulnerabilities of the Titan is the need of fuel. A Gas Can can only refuel about 50% of its capacity, and it is not a recommended item to carry. The Titan Tank also requires much more time to refuel than a Car or a Motorboat.
- Like most vehicles, you can place a Gas Can on top of the Tank for future use. Be careful as flipping the Tank may cause the Gas Can to fall off. Players can also shoot the Gas Can causing damage to the tank, but this can be prevented by placing the Gas Can inside the passenger seat, mostly hiding the Gas Can from view, but still allowing you to pick it up.
- To counter a Titan, fire continuously with high DPS weapons as Assault Rifles and Submachine Guns or try to get close and attach Remote Explosives to it. Alternatively, getting away with the sprint or a car can be less risky.
- The Titan's projectiles will be deflected upwards when shooting a Web Bouncer. They'll move slowly and then fall towards the ground, giving to the Titan Tank a mortar role in rare occurrences.
- The Titan tank treads aren't bulletproof. They can be shot out by gunfire, so keep an eye on the treads while focusing on defeating enemies.
- The Anvil Rocket Launcher's missiles are really difficult to dodge when driving a Titan, due to its low movement speed. However, the rockets need time to reach their target, so you can use a Repair Torch on the Titan while the enemy keeps firing rockets.
- Bringing a Repair Torch with you is fundamental since Heavy Snipers deal 600 damage to vehicles. Heavy Snipers however are an even higher risk than the Anvil Rocket Launcher, because they can stack up to 50 ammo and their projectiles are way faster.
- If you have an Harpoon Gun in your inventory, you can use it to pull the crew out of the Titan. Most players will rarely carry this item, however it can be a useful resource in the early game and especially against IO Patrol-controlled Titan tanks.
- The mounted turret on the Titan tank can hit the tank itself. You can use this to your advantage: hijacking the tank and using the turret will force the driver to exit the vehicle or switch seat. The Turret can kill the driver even if he stays in his seat after the hatch is destroyed. This can be countered by the driver by positioning the cannon of the tank so that it prevents the gunner from hitting him directly, forcing him to damage the tank instead.
- Logs will deal a good amount of damage to the Tank and the impact will destroy the driver's hatch almost every time, so shoot them when an enemy Titan is nearby or, when driving one, avoid hitting those that could roll up to your vehicle.
- Keep in mind that the engine has its own health bar, which regenerates over time or after the Titan is disabled. This means that if you're trying to destroy a Tank with a sniper from far away or with rifles in close range combat, you should never aim for the engine unless you actually want the driver to be ejected.

Chapter 5: Season 2[]

Trivia[]
- The Titan has a horn which can be activated by the driver.
- The Titan has 2 different spawn locations in most IO POIs. It will randomly spawn in one spot or another every match.
- The Titan in Tilted Towers didn't get captured and spray painted by The Seven, despite them reclaiming Tilted Towers.
- Doctor Slone's Titan Tank didn't have the Support Turret in Collision.
- The Titan's weak spots appear to have very messy hitboxes on the right side of the tank: hitting the right batteries, located just below turret height, will count towards damage to the engine, and hitting just behind the right rear of the turret's hatch will divert the damage to the right track. This does not at all happen with the batteries or armor on the left side of the vehicle.
