This page is about an item or mechanic that is currently vaulted.
It has been made unavailable to balance the loot pool, and may return in the future.

Treasure Chests are a type of Container in Fortnite: Battle Royale. They were introduced in Season 8, and reintroduced in Chapter 3: Season 1.

Functionality[]

Treasure Chests can be found by following the trail of Drake's Map or previously, Buried Treasure or Avengers Buried Treasure.

Treasure Chests contain the same loot table as a Standard Chest, but contain much higher tier loot and double the weapons.

Treasure Chests contain two Weapons, Ammunition for said weapons, an amount of each material, Utility, Uncategorized or Ranged Consumable, or Healing Items, and Bars.

In the Endgame LTM, the Chests will drop only Mythic items from the Avengers item pool.

Players must dig up a Treasure Chest using a Harvesting Tool on the 'X' identified by their Map item. They can be interacted with by the player to open them, granting some XP. They take a longer amount of time to open.

Loot Pool[]

Treasure Chests will drop five items, but with double the number of a Standard Chest. They drop two Weapons, Materials, Ammo, extra items and Bars. Treasure Chests will only drop Weapons of Legendary rarity.
