Fall in line because big changes are coming to Fortnite. Changes that involve an unfathomable amount of beans, a flying obstacle course, and more ways to get yeeted than ever before. That’s right, Fall Guys is bumping into Fortnite!
In Battle Royale, Where We Fallin’ starts now. Find a golden Bean Idol, take on the floating obstacle course in the sky, and bring back loot to help you get a Victory Royale.
But that’s not the only Fall Guys news we’ve got for you… If you’re a creator, you can now publish the Fall Guys island of your dreams made with Fall Guys assets in UEFN and Creative.
Whether you’re a creator looking for inspiration or a player looking for some bean bedlam, you’ll find six Fall Guys islands created by Mediatonic in Discover! Check them out in the new “Fall Guys” row.
Where We Fallin’? Off a Giant Obstacle Course[]
An absolute unit of an obstacle course is casting a shadow over the Fortnite Battle Royale Island. Where We Fallin’ is live now until v31.00 on August 15!
Reaching the Fall Guys Obstacle Course
To reach the obstacle course, you’ll need to track down one of several Bean Idols hidden in the Classy Courts area. We say they’re hidden, but they’re hard to miss. They’re tall. They’re shiny. They’re very… beany.
Bounce for Bean Bling
Praise the golden Bean Idol in its shiny might and you’ll be challenged to a race against the clock as you’re transformed into a Fall Guys Bean and transported to the obstacle course in the sky!
Blast through Spinning Beams, watch your step on the Hex Tiles, and burst through the finish line with the help of Bounce Pads. Just make sure you don’t get knocked down by moving bumpers on your way there! Complete actions like running, mantling, diving, bouncing, and more on this course to check off Where We Fallin’ Quests, rewarding you with Locker items like the Pink Plushie Back Bling.
If you lose your footing and get knocked off the course, don’t worry! You’ll be teleported to the last checkpoint or the beginning of the course so you can continue your run.
Legumes and Loot
You have three attempts to set a time per Battle Royale match, but you can only complete the course once per match. If you complete the course within the 120-second time limit, you’ll be awarded gameplay loot to help you with the rest of the match:
- Complete the course in less than 50 seconds for “Gold Tier” loot.
- Complete the course between 50 and 80 seconds for “Silver Tier” loot.
- Complete the course between 80 and 120 seconds for “Bronze Tier” loot.
For your Bean’s safety, we’re obliged to tell you that the course is strictly off-limits once the Storm has overtaken it...
Bean Bod
In the obstacle course, you’ll notice some changes to your appearance as your Fortnite Outfit morphs into a Fall Guys Bean! How this Bean looks will depend on the Outfit you have equipped, and you’ll find bean-spoke looks for some of the most iconic Fortnite Outfits such as Brite Bomber, Fishstick, and Jonesy the Secondst. Your Fall Guys Bean will return to its Fortnite version once you’re back on the Island!
Just a heads-up: If your equipped Outfit is not an original Fortnite character, your Bean will be a preset “default” Bean.
And another heads-up: Costumes from Fall Guys don’t transfer over to Fortnite. The Bean look is only applied to your existing Fortnite Outfits!
Publish Fall Guys Islands in Fortnite[]
Creators! Fall Guys assets in UEFN and Creative allow you to build a new type of island: Fall Guys islands. Build and place a massive selection of Fall Guys obstacles and props to create your own course where players can yeet ‘til their heart’s content. Starting today, you can now publish these islands in Fortnite. Published Fall Guys islands will show up in the "Fall Guys" Discover row.
A player’s Fortnite Outfit will be its Bean version in the Lobby and Locker whenever a Fall Guys island is selected. And of course, their Outfit will be a Bean in the island itself. These Beans match their look in Battle Royale’s Where We Fallin’. Beans, beans, they’re an art!
Don’t get stuck on the confusion obstacle — check out our Create Fall Guys Islands blog post for more info on the Fall Guys assets in UEFN/Creative.

What if you could travel from Dry Valley to the Frostlands in a flash? Impossible? Not anymore! In LEGO® Fortnite v30.40, take a flying bus to fast travel in your world. Maybe it’s a getaway from tough enemies you need — this update also lets you change the settings of a world you already created! v30.40 drops into LEGO Fortnite on August 6 🚌
Get on the… Battle Bus?[]
The Battle Bus fast travel network is ready for operation in your world! Bus Stations — a new kind of Station — are already set up in your world. You can build your own by destroying a Bus Station for Rift Shards, an ingredient for this Station.
At a Bus Station, a familiar-looking bus called a “Battle Bus” will pick you up and take you to a Bus Station of your choice. Get from a Village to your favorite mining spot in seconds!
Enemies On, Off… Change World Settings in Your Current Worlds[]
You no longer have to make a new world if you want to change your settings!
Every setting except your mode (Cozy, Survival, Sandbox, Expert) and Player Elimination can be changed. Just a few heads-up:
- This doesn’t apply to the locked settings in Expert mode.
- If you turn off Enemies (including Storm-Wild Enemies), the existing ones will remain until you defeat them or leave the area.
- If you turn off Friendly Creatures or Villagers, the existing ones will remain until you leave the area.
Like to eat for fun instead of survival? Turn off Hunger! Wanna shake things up with stronger foes? Turn on Storm-Wild Enemies! Play your way in the worlds you’ve already made.
Have a Ball(oon) with New Toys[]
Stamina, hunger… all that really matters is that you’re having fun. And nothing’s more fun than new Toys! v30.40 adds a few new ones:
- Pressure Plate: A button you can put pressure on to turn on channels. The button needs to stay down to work!
- Trigger Plate: Another button you can put pressure on to turn on channels. Unlike a Pressure Plate, the button doesn’t have to stay down. (Remember that Thrusters will eventually turn off on their own!)
- Unlock the recipe for a Trigger Plate by adding Blast Powder to your inventory.
- Activated Balloon Small: A small balloon that comes uninflated. Inflate it using channel control! (Perhaps a Pressure or Trigger Plate will work?)
- Unlock the recipe for an Activated Balloon Small by crafting a Loom.
- Activated Balloon Large: The same thing as an Activated Balloon Small, but bigger. (Woah.)
- Unlock the recipe for an Activated Balloon Large by crafting a Loom.
