Updates, Changes and Improvements[]

V-Bucks and X-Ray Rewards Rounded Up[]

As part of the system-wide Exact Amount offer, we’ve rounded up the following V-Bucks rewards for Save the World Founders (players who purchased a Founder’s Pack prior to June 29, 2020) to make balance more predictable and easier to track:

  • All Daily Quests that awarded 80 or 90 V-Bucks will now award 100.
  • All Daily Quests that awarded 130 V-Bucks will now award 150.
  • Toxic Treasures Challenge Quests that awarded 30 V-Bucks will now award 50.
  • Mini-Boss Mission Alerts that awarded 25, 30, 35, and 40 V-Bucks for Stonewood, Plankerton, Canny Valley, and Twine Peaks will now award 50 per Mission.
  • X-Ray Tickets awarded from the above sources to Founders and Non-Founders will also be awarded at new quantities.

While the frequency of Mission Alerts has been slightly adjusted for balance, the increase in per-mission rewards makes this an overall increase in both efficiency and value.

Item Sharing Updates[]

  • Harvested resources now automatically group by type when dropped from their source, helping reduce ground clutter and improve overall performance.
  • Loot is now guaranteed for the player who eliminates an enemy, regardless of the player's distance. For other players, loot will only spawn if they were near the enemy at the time of elimination (e.g. shooting down a Crow from far away).

Bug Fixes[]

  • Fixed an issue with the Xenon Bow projectile size being significantly larger than intended. Its projectile size is now consistent with other Bows.
  • As a result of this change, the weapon is eligible for an optional one-time full reset — all invested resources will be refunded, and the weapon will return to level 1.
  • Leaving a Mission and returning to the main Fortnite Lobby no longer prevents the player from selecting other game modes.
  • Razor’s Crystal Daggers now properly seek out and hit targets when Kunai Storm is used.
  • Player character no longer leaves behind a T-Posed duplicate when respawning.
  • Weapons no longer become invisible when switching during Shadow Stance.

Known Issues[]

  • Jump Pads cannot be freely placed on specific corners of existing floors and can only be properly positioned by moving the player character around the floor piece.
  • The Storm King's Onslaught’s projectiles may fail to hit detached Shielders. Standing closer to the Shielder is recommended as a temporary workaround.
  • Some sections of the mansion roof in the Survive the Night Mission are missing, causing invisible collisions that can block players.

We’re mixing things up with a special Season of Fortnite Festival featuring the Mixtape Music Pass!

We’ve added the biggest, most varied collection of Jam Tracks ever in a Pass. Perform your best show yet on the Main Stage, make new mixes on the Jam Stage and in Battle Royale, and choose your background music when you get a Victory Royale or drop out of the Battle Bus.

Hey everyone! The update v37.50 is now live. Read up on which new additions and bug fixes went out with this update.

Odyssey[]

Additions[]

  • It’s finally here. We are bringing Heroes to Odyssey in the form of Hero Weapons and Hero Equipment.
  • You can unlock new crafting recipes for Hero Weapons and Equipment from the Mastery Tab of the Player menu. Once unlocked, you can then craft those items on the new Hero Station, which can be built from the Build menu. And the best part is you’ll be able to show off your play style by matching different items. ⚒️
  • Rare or higher-quality Hero Weapons also include an Ultimate Ability, which can be used to unleash a powerful secondary attack or buff. To perform an Ultimate Ability, the weapon must first be charged up by attacking with its primary ability.
  • New movement options - You can now drop traps when dodging and make double jumps by crafting and equipping one of the new Hero Equipment items.
  • There’s been a huge food rework! We’ve made big adjustments to existing food items. Most now grant powerful buffs, and the new Cauldron allows you to make potions focused on Healing and other powerful effects. Be sure to check out your existing food items as well, as the Dev Team has been busy in the kitchen making some changes!
  • Are you ready for Halloween? 🎃 There’s a new workstation called the Cauldron, which can be used to brew interesting new Potions. Keep yourself in tip-top shape by brewing new Small and Jumbo Health Potions!
  • There are a bunch of new effects. Try out the new Klom Home Potion to teleport back to your bed and the Flying Fish Sandwich, which lets you fly within village bounds, making building easier.
  • Health Potions are now the primary source of healing in the game instead of Food Items, which have been changed to grant a new variety of powerful and long-lasting buffs, but their healing has been reduced.
  • The Juicer is now known as the Mixer! Some of the old juices have been removed, and new Potions have been added instead.
  • You can now, finally, make Cheese at the Mixer! The long-lost art of cheesemaking has been discovered in Odyssey! 🧀
  • Hunger be gone! We’ve removed hunger from the game, so your character can focus on adventure instead of their next snack.
  • Mysterious enemies have started coming to players’ worlds. They may be easy to defeat in a one-on-one situation, but they attack in groups and are relentless. Be cautious and watch out! 🧟
  • Have you noticed anything frightening growing in your world? All pumpkins have become Jack-O-Lanterns that glow at night. 🎃
  • And that’s not all, we are continuing to add exciting QoL changes and have even more planned for future releases. Here’s a recap of the QOL changes coming in this update:
    • You can now rename the Bus Stations.
    • We’ve added a new animation when crafting items of different rarity.
    • We’ve also added a quick item pick-up from stations.
    • To reduce eye movement and be consistent with many games on Fortnite, your health bar is now located in the bottom left corner. This doesn’t apply to mobile, where mobile controls need that space. Additionally, your health level now shows exactly how you’re holding up in the game.
    • A small stamina cost was added to dodging to support the new Hero Items, Potions, and Food Buffs. Besides, we’ve also increased the stamina recovery speed.
    • Buff effects have received a slight makeover, and they now appear more clearly.
    • Finally, when you log into your world, you’ll be greeted with a quick recap pop-up screen listing the most prominent changes.

Bug Fixes[]

  • We are continuing to work on HUD improvements on PC and consoles.
  • Fixed an issue with shields having low durability.
  • Resolved an issue where the glider didn’t properly deploy after jumping from the bus.
  • Fixed a small issue with the Rune Forge not unlocking.
  • Storm Mushroom got increased damage.

Brick Life[]

Additions[]

  • Halloween is near, and we are prepared. The New Potions Crafting Station is available, so make sure to check and make potions that have different abilities! 🧪 Some of them are:
    • Elixir of Invisibility
    • Tonic of Weightlessness
    • Gravity-Enhancing Tonic
    • Cat-ification Potion
    • Pony-fication Potion
    • Lobster-fying Potion
    • Squirrel-ize Potion
    • Froggify Potion
    • Cure-All Serum
    • Vile Vial
    • Doggify Potion
  • You can now collect potion recipes in your book across all collections. Make sure to solve a riddle, which will give you hints on how to make a potion. 🧩

Bug Fixes[]

  • Fixed some visual inconsistencies with buildings while playing on a mobile device.
  • Resolved an issue where ceiling and wall lights were showing an incorrect color.
  • Fixed certain visual issues with buildings for Android players.
  • The action ‘Give Item’ now works correctly and doesn’t affect the sprint functionality.

Expeditions[]

Last but not least, we’ve also increased the amount of XP players can earn in Expeditions. Lace up your hero boots and hit up the trail - it’s time to chase the trophy. 🏆
