He betrayed IO during the Zero Crisis Finale in order to save Reality Zero. After having been rescued from prison by The Foundation during The End event, he joined The Seven. He is the original man behind all of Jonesy snapshots.
He is the main protagonist of Fortnite: Battle Royale, serving as the overarching protagonist of Chapter 1, the secondary protagonist of Chapter 2, one of the two main protagonists (alongside The Foundation) of Chapter 3, the main protagonist of Fortnite OG and one of the three main protagonists of Chapter 5, alongside Hope and The Looper.
Personality[]
Jones is an adventurous man who can easily adapt himself into all kinds of unknown places. He learned to speak 342,000 languages from all the realities he explored. He will try his best to fit in and befriend everyone he comes across.
Jones comes from an "Unstable World" reality where he needs to fight to live. He married an unnamed woman and had children with her. The IO offers him a job to join IO Island Management Team and Jones' family can get protection from the hostile world as long as he can work for them. After becoming an IO agent and gaining ageless immortality, he thought he had all the time to fix any mistake. But after his wife and children died of old age, he began to see his immortality as a curse.
Appearance[]
Jones is a young looking man with blonde hair and blue eyes. As an IO agent, he wears a dark blue suit with a blue/red tie. As Jones Unchained, he has a white tank top and prison overalls. He later grows a beard as Vengeance Jones and sports a beige coat, a black sweater, a red scarf and sunglasses. Having exited his "Vengeance story arc", Jones intends to return to being a true hero, and becomes Captain Jones, with a suit similar to Captain America's, but adapted in his style, and the shield, donated by Captain America himself.

Timeline[]
Before Chapter 1[]
Jones is recruited by Doctor Slone into the Imagined Order, and becomes a member of the Island Management Team. He is tasked with jumping into The Zero Point. It creates one of the very first Snapshots of him, Bunker Jonesy, along with numerous others throughout his various trips into the Loop. He is sent through the Zero Point to many realities in The Omniverse to bring order to them, kidnapping people and putting them in The Loop so the IO can study them. He was also very knowledgeable about The Seven. As years past, Jones has children and a family that lived in Jones' very dangerous home Reality, under protection by the IO. As they get older, Jones wants to retire so he can spend time with his grandchildren he barely knows. Doctor Slone reminds that he became indispensable in the IO and if he leaves, his family won't be under protection anymore, forcing Jones to work many more years for descendants he never knew.
Chapter 2: Season 2[]
Jones walks through The Bridge during The Device, and order his co-workers to change The Storm. While talking, The Looper gets teleported into his office, and listens to him talk. Jones opens the door and sees The Looper, asking them if they can hear him.
Chapter 2: Season 4[]
Jones is briefly seen at the end of the Devourer of Worlds Event. At first lying on the floor in an unconscious state, he then quickly wakes up as the building crumbles around him.
Chapter 2: Season 5[]
After the battle against Galactus finishes, the Imagined Order is in a state of panic. John Jones is lying on the ground as the phone on his table rings. He answers the phone, and Doctor Slone, orders him that he needs to reseal the bridge and that the last thing they need is someone escaping The Loop. Just as he walks out of his office, grabbing his Field Pack, Slone warns him about The Seven, but he leaves the office without hearing her. He enters The Bridge and locates the best Hunters across all realties. Through his Reality Logs, he brings several Hunters to The Island so they can create chaos while IO tries to fix The Zero Point. While doing this, he creates Pure Portals which overloads The Zero Point more.
Chapter 2: Season 6[]
Each reality hop made the Zero Point more unstable. He turns to The Seven and tries to get access to "Restricted File 8752," all files related to the Seven. After multiple failed attempts, he goes onto the island and through a series of events, throws the Portal Device into the Zero Point, gets the help of The Foundation and they reseal the Zero Point. However, he is looped as a result and The Foundation seals himself into The Spire.
Chapter 2: Season 7[]
Jones went into hiding as Guernsey, and was declared missing.
The End[]
Jones was found by the Imagined Order and was taken to The Bridge where he was being tortured by Doctor Slone for betraying them and helping the Seven but was rescued by The Foundation who was revealed to have lived the completion of The Spire. Jones was then given a gun to help hold off the IO Guards. After The Foundation rewires part of The Bridge, Jones then proceeds to activate the flipping of the Island, and at one point drops the gun in The Zero Point.
Chapter 3: Season 1[]
Jones officially joins The Seven as an ally, but is still disliked by The Scientist and the other members. He stays in the Seven Outposts with Seven Sentry while working on Geno, meanwhile his Snapshots started their own village society as The Joneses.
Chapter 3: Season 2[]
Jones and other members of The Seven formed The Resistance, with members and loopers from different realities. Jones also recruits Peely to The Resistance as a vehicle driver. He instructs The Looper on giving intel from the IO Airships and instructing Peely how to drive. He is still working on Geno.
Fortnite X Marvel: Zero War #1-4[]
Jones, alongside The Foundation, Spider-Man and The Imagined infiltrate The Bridge. While looking for The Zero Point, Jones comes across his old office and picks up a picture of his wife from an old frame. They meet up at the center but are ambushed by Slone and Gunnar. The Foundation is defeated by Gunnar, but the rest of the team escaped to Reality: 616. The team get help from Wolverine and travel to Wakanda, in search of The Zero Shard. They fight against hordes of Hybrids and eventually sit down at a campfire, where Jones reveals his past to the team, revealing his immortality. The next day, they fight against the High Evolutionary and Stegron. They discover that Doctor Doom has snuck around them and take the Zero Shard first to go to Reality Zero. The High Evolutionary and Stegron lets Jones and his team leave to stop Doctor Doom. They use a Portal Device and end up at The Ice Moon. Wolverine guides them to a castle, undisturbed for ages. They step inside and Jones accidentally triggers a hologram of The Ice King that congratulates them for reaching him. He tells them his backstory, ending his talk with an attempt to kilp the group. They run away, but are found by Doctor Doom instead. Doom overpowers them using The Ice King's powerful weapons and defeats the heroes. Spider-Man manages to steal The Zero Shard and bring it to The Seven, powering the Mecha Team Leader. The Mecha attacks Doom, causing him to flee to Reality Zero.
Collision / Fortnite X Marvel: Zero War #5[]
Jones, The Foundation, the rest of The Seven and a group of Avengers meet up near Mighty Monument. The team deactivates the shields of The Collider, letting the Mecha Strike Commander near it. The Mecha is overpowered by the IO Airships, but Jones calls Peely to deliver a Slurp Tank to heal the Mecha. The Mecha pulls out it's sword to destroy The Collider, but falls into a giant sinkhole caused by seismic charges. Jones and The Foundation go down into the caverns, meeting up with the Loopers. Jones, Foundation and the Loopers climb up the stairs of the Collider, fighting against IO Guards and B.R.U.T.E.s. Doctor Slone blocks their way and Jones distracts her by making a monologue, giving time for the Mecha to crush her. The Mecha gives them a lift near The Zero Point and the Foundation notices it is focused on Geno. They jump in, ending up at "The Realm". They see Geno and The Imagined discorporating as Geno gives up and hands The Zero Point to The Seven. He allows them to take anything they want in 15 seconds. They leave the Realm and return to Reality Zero, realizing that they were succesful in destroying The Collider. They return to the surface as Jones thinks about his family, wondering whether they'd realize what he had become. Spider-Man tries to confort him but leaves to return to Reality: 616. Jones apologizes from Shuri for not getting to know eachother better. Shuri gives Jones a kiss on his cheeks and tells him to visit her again.
Chapter 3: Season 4[]
Jones gets help from The Looper to investigate the Chrome. He meets AMIE but has problems with her due to her constant sarcastic behavior. They decrypt a message from The Paradigm, warning them about The Nothing.
Fracture[]
Though not featured he makes a cameo appearance via flashback, Though he does appear in the Stare At Asteria downtime event.
Chapter 4: Season 4[]
Jones finally landed on the Asteria island and reunited with Slone.
Chapter 4: Season OG[]
Jones time travels back to Chapter 1: Season 5 era of an alternative timeline for an extraction mission. The goal was to recreate The End but to alter something in the process, in order for the Zero Point to not to become a black hole, but instead generate a new big bang allowing the creation of new realities, so that in the future these realities also appear and can serve as a refuge for the inhabitants of Asteria, which was in impending doom. Although it is an alternative timeline and therefore a completely different reality, and is therefore not supposed to have any impact on the present of Reality Zero, the issues of Jones' mission having a great impact on the past era of the Omniverse itself, this slightly affects the future as evidenced by the recording of Slone. While he was taking the Time Machine to Dusty Depot, The Seven of this timeline transformed Dusty Diner into their base, similar to The Scientist's during Season X and made a Rocket. For some reason, The Cube of this Timeline didn't had any runes to gain power and launch its attack and instead tried to expose The Zero Point to devour its energy, and so Jones let it do. Once Jones arrived with the Time Machine, he taped the it onto the Rocket.
The Big Bang[]
Once the plan was ready to be carried out, Jones launched his rocket and performed something similar to The Seven during The End, using the Time Machine to multiply into 7 Rockets to be seven, unfreeze the Meteor before plunge his rocket into The Zero Point and finally making the Meteor existence unstable during the collision with the Zero Point to allow The Big Bang. After the initial Big Bang, Jones as Vengeance Jones can be seen floating just behind the jukebox/next to the Pink Fall Guy.
Chapter 5: Season 1[]
According to Jones, when he collided with the Zero Point with his rocket, shortly before the Meteor, he somehow got inside and was "lost". However he somehow got out and traveled back into the present before arriving on Helios. Some time later he meets Hope, leader and founder of the Underground and sister of Valeria, the Society's most notable leader and after establishing a good friendship with her he joined The Underground. However Peely was kidnapped by The Society because Valeria believed Jones knew about the thing she searched. He therefore decided to lead a punitive expedition with The Underground to save his best friend. Later in the season near the end of the war against The Society, Jones managed to save Peely from them. Near the season finale, a traveler named Odyssey warns Jones that fate isn't done with him yet.
Chapter 5: Season 2[]
While The Looper was leading the fight against Zeus, he remained behind with Hope, until shortly before the final battle, she decided to intervene. The Underground led by Hope joined their force to The Looper's allies for the final battle at Mount Olympus against Zeus and his allies. After The Looper defeated the King of Gods, The Underground dethroned him, with Hope tagging The Underground's symbol on his former Throne, symbolizing a reign of freedom.
Chapter 5: Season 3[]
After the battle against Zeus, Jones joins Hope in their search for Pandora's Gems, fighting against the Wasteland Warriors and their leader, Megalo Don, who wanted to raze The Island with his Leviathan. Together with Hope, he contacted The Looper for help and together they gathered all the gems with the help of various characters, such as The Oracle, Peabody, Rust, etc.. After the conduit explodes due to Doom, Jones discovers that Hope spoke to Wastelander Magneto about what was happening, leading the story to continue into the next season.
Chapter 5: Season 4[]
After the failure of Megalo Don's plan, The Wanderer revealed his true identity: Doom. At the invasion of the Kingdom of Doom, Jones (along with Hope and The Oracle) prepared for the great final battle of The Underground, also calling various allies from Reality 616 thanks to Wastelander Magneto, who died like many other characters precisely because of Doom. Jones received the shield from Captain America, and denied his vengeful past for a role as a true hero, that of Captain Jones. Now, Jones is collaborating with Hope, of whom he is very proud, also making references to his past, and The Oracle, with whom he has a relationship of trust, even if they do not get along very well. In the meantime, his best friend Peely also goes out to battle, and becomes Peelverine thanks to nanamantium, which makes him become similar to Wolverine.
