The Venom Symbiote is an Uncategorized Item in Fortnite: Battle Royale that was added in Chapter 2: Season 8.
Functionality[]
The Venom Symbiote allows players to grab opponents through several layers of structures for a max distance of 45m. It also provides a speed and jump boost effect and enables Glider Redeploy (The player’s glider will be changed to Symbiotic Sail).
Grabbing a Chicken heals for 
15 Health.

As of Update v18.20 (October 13th 2021), Venom Symbiote cannot currently be obtained in Battle Royale and Zero Build as it has been vaulted.

Trivia[]
- The Symbiotes were initially set to be removed on October 18th 2021. The date was altered due to a glitch.
- The glitch allowed players to keep the speed boost and Glider Redeploy without having the item after being rebooted.
- The canister's design is taken from the one used by the Life Foundation in Venom (2018).
- On release the Venom Symbiote only changed the Glider for console players due to the files relating to Eddie Brock's cosmetics not being encrypted there. This was fixed in Update v18.10.
- The Venom Symbiote functions almost identically to the Carnage Symbiote and thus they cannot be stored together in the player’s inventory.
- It functions similarly to Venom’s Smash & Grab, however, it has two additional abilities and smaller cooldown time.
- By grabbing a chicken with the Venom Symbiote, the player instantly receives 15 Health. This doesn’t work with other Wildlife and is a reference to how Venom eats chickens as an alternative to humans in Let There Be Carnage.
- When this item is picked up, the Tendrils of Venom Back Bling will be equipped.
