The War Bus is a Vehicle in Fortnite: Battle Royale. It was first introduced in Chapter 5: Season 3.
One or two War Buses will spawn each game. If either (or both) The Machinist or Megalo Don are driving around the island, a War Bus with a Wasteland Elite and Wasteland Grunts will follow them. If neither of them are driving around the island, a Whiplash will lead the bus driven by a Wasteland Elite and Wasteland Grunt.
Functionality[]
The War Bus can hold 7 players: 1 Driver, 2 Front Seats, 2 Rear Seats and 2 Gunners. The War Bus has a Spiked Bumper and Off-Road Tires, along with two Anti-Vehicle Turrets. The Driver has full control of the vehicle and is able to drive forwards, reverse, brake and also boost. This boost enables the vehicle to move forwards at a great speed or damage players with ease. The War Bus also comes equipped with a EMP horn which disables all nearby vehicles and damages nearby enemy's shields.
The passengers can shoot, heal, emote and crouch whilst on a seat of the Armored Battle Bus. There are two anti-vehicle turrets on the top of the Bus. These Turrets can be used to damage structures, enemies and vehicles.
Strategy Guide[]
- Standing on a War Bus without getting into the seats will let you pickaxe the Guards or players in the turrets easily.
- Doing this will also not aggravate the Guards and Convoy Leader, so it is especially helpful if you wish to get prep time before fighting them or ride with the convoy.
