Welcome, Our Alien Overlords was a Mini Live Event in Chapter 6: Season 4, which happened on November 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM ET.

The event premiered the animated short "Apocalypse D'Oh", which led into the following season.
Build-up[]
On October 14th 2025, Chapter 6: Season 4 Story Quest - Prepare to Fight were released, Daigo handed the Splinter Blades to The Looper, who used them to weaken the access point to the Spirit Realm to prepare the confrontational assault against the Dark Presence.
On October 24th 2025, a mysterious sapling has appeared northwest of Creepy Camps.
On October 25th 2025, the sapling has grown into a tree. The grass surrounding the tree is now cel-shaded.
On October 26th 2025, the tree has grown bigger and turned into Bart's Treehouse, with the cel-shaded grass spreading further. The Simpsons TV can be found in the treehouse, showing multiple iconic frames from The Simpsons. The TV also shows a clip of a four-eyed creature surrounded by dark clouds.
On October 27th 2025, Zero Point energy began emanating from the roots of Bart's Treehouse. The countdown to the Live Event, alongside some O.X.R. equipment, has been installed beside the treehouse.
On October 29th 2025, The Zero Point energy that's been emanating from the roots of Bart's Treehouse has gotten more intense and is now flowing out of the treehouse.
Main Event[]
A sprout of mysterious origin appeared on the northwestern corner of Oninoshima, eventually growing into a large tree outfitted with a treehouse. Over time, a mysterious aura appeared over the treehouse which would later cause an unstable fissure to appear in the veil separating the Island from the Spirit Realm. A pair of aliens named Kang and Kodos arrived from outer space to investigate, while Hope and Jones rift to a control center that had been set up nearby to use an upgraded rift device to seal the breach and prevent the Dark Presence from invading the Island. The fissure was closed, for a moment, before reopening into a larger portal that allows the demonic creature to cross over.
As a battle erupts, Kang and Kodos were captivated by the sight of the Dark Presence as they had hoped to find a reproductive mate. They abduct Hope and Jones to gain the demon's favor, but Hope overpowers them and gains control of their saucer to attack the Dark Presence. Her attack is parried and the saucer is thrown into an inter-reality wormhole, but Jones notices the Zero Point Shard in the Dark Presence's chest, and Hope is able to use the tractor beam to steal a piece of it and take it into the wormhole.
Kodos move to recalibrate the wormhole to send them to Springfield, but Hope wrestles with him to send them back to Oninoshima, to no avail. The chaos fuses Springfield and Oninoshima into a brand new world: Springfield Island. Kodos plots to conquer this new island, but the Battle Bus– piloted by Otto Mann– crashes into the saucer, and Hope loses the shard of the Zero Point in the air.
At home, Homer Simpson tries to watch TV with an uncooperative remote when the shard flies into the house, just as Marge informs him to call the police if he finds such an object. Hearing about its power and extraterrestrial origins, Homer outfits the shard into his remote, turning it into a reality-bending conduit that he quickly learns to control. He sets off on a quest to achieve "nirvana", using the shard remote to improve the lives of the residents of Springfield. At Moe's, Homer finds out Hope and Jones were looking for him in regards to the shard.

Trivia[]
- The Live Event's codename is "LimeRock".
- Kang and Kodos's event codename is "RetroNeighbour".
- Jones sports his Jonesy The First design as opposed to his modern Vengeance/Underground suit as introduced in Chapter 5: Season 1.
- This, along with Hope being depicted as Heroic Hope rather than Shadow Blade Hope is likely because the current lore designs are locked behind old Battle Passes. As they still retain those same Battle Pass Outfits in Chapter 6: Mini Season 2 outside of the weekly animated shorts.
- It's possible that The Live Event's built-up was teased back in Chapter 2 Remix by graffiti art found in Spaghetti Grotto.
- In terms of file size, The Live Event is fairly big, totaling approximately 530 MB.
- This is the second Live Event in Chapter 6 that has ended with an Unplayable Period, the first being Death Star Sabotage.
- Welcome, Our Alien Overlords breaks from the tradition of Live Events usually occurring at 2:00 PM ET, with this event taking place three hours earlier.
- While advertised as a mini-event purely related to The Simpsons, the event is 1.5 times bigger than Death Star Sabotage, has its own playlist, a downtime screen and has been in the works for around 6 months.
- The Event also has several files and music that have nothing to do with The Simpsons, alongside the story of Chapter 6 building up to this Live Event as a confrontation to the Dark Presence and an attack on the Spirit Realm.
- Tim Sweeney has also liked multiple posts on Twitter of users asking if the Live Event is large-scale. Additionally, he posted an image of a domino effect right after leaks around the Live Event started to resurface, which could be a hint towards the event.
- Should a non-cel-shaded outfit enter Bart's Treehouse, it will receive a black outline.
- The leitmotifs used in the event are: For O.X.R!, Dark Presence's theme, adventure's theme and The Simpsons theme.
- Tied with Keep Dreaming With Juice WRLD, Welcome, Our Alien Overloads has the longest name for any live event in Fortnite history, consisting of 28 characters.
