— In-Game Description

The Zapper Trap is an Epic Utility Item Item in Fortnite: Battle Royale, that was introduced in Season X.

Functionality[]

The Zapper Trap is unique in that it is not stored in the player's trap slot, but rather is a throwable item. However, once thrown it acts like a regular trap.

When thrown, it will latch onto an existing structure, or create a structure of its own. It has to 'charge' and emit a ding! sound before being able to zap. It will then zap enemy players in the one tile vicinity of it.

Trivia[]

  • This is the only Trap that does not go into the trap slot in the build menu.
  • The Zapper Trap no longer works properly in Fortnite: Creative due to an issue. When attempted to be placed on a wooden wall (or any build), the Zapper Trap will spin or move in the world until it disappears. It no longer can place on builds or any other type walls and floors.
